Send a WhatsApp message after the call

Follow up on WhatsApp with an approved template — a confirmation, a reminder, a link.

Send WhatsApp follows up on WhatsApp once the call has ended. Messages that start a conversation use approved templates — WhatsApp requires it — and you fill the template's blanks with data from the call.

Price

€0.06 per message, the same in every country. Writing first, or after 24 hours of silence, opens a conversation and needs a template — see How usage is priced.

Set it up

  1. Add the action

Open the agent → Actions → Add Tool → Post call → Send WhatsApp.

  2. Pick an approved template

Template SID (Optional) lists the templates approved for sending right now, with their language and text — pick one. A new template is added by support; once WhatsApp approves it, it appears in the list.

  3. Fill the template's blanks

Under Template Variables, map each blank ({{1}}, {{2}}, …) to call data or fixed text:

    Call dataWhat it holds
    {{call_from}} / {{call_to}}The number that called / was called
{{call_date}} / {{call_time}}When the call started, in the agent's timezone
    {{call_summary}}The summary
    {{call_sentiment}}The caller's mood
{{call_task_achieved}}Whether the call reached its goal
    {{call_transcription}}The full transcript
  4. Say when and to whom

General Condition — e.g. if an appointment was confirmed (empty: after every call). Direct Recipients always receive it; Conditioned Recipients by condition.

Use cases

  • Confirm the appointment the agent booked, with date and time.
  • Send the caller the link they asked for.
  • Remind about documents to bring.
