Submit documents for a number

In most countries the carrier wants to know who will use a number — upload the documents once, reuse them for every number.

Outside Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the US and Canada, carriers want proof of who will use a number — a local address, a business registration. HANC walks you through it, and what you submit is kept as a regulatory bundle: one per country and number type, reused for every further number of that kind.

Submit your documents

  1. Start buying the number

Phone Numbers → Buy Number → pick the country and the type. If the country needs documents, the guided form opens.

  2. Fill in who you are

Say whether you register as a business or an individual, enter the details and upload the documents the form asks for.

  3. Save a draft whenever you like

You don't have to finish in one go: save a draft and continue later from Phone Numbers → Regulatory bundles.

  4. Send it for review

The carrier checks it, usually within a few working days. Once it is approved, the number is provisioned and set up by itself.

Start early

Approval takes days, not minutes. If you will need an Italian number next month, submit the bundle now — buying the number afterwards takes a minute.

Track your bundles

Phone Numbers → Regulatory bundles lists them with the country, business or individual, the number type, when you started, and the status:

StatusWhat it meansWhat to do
DraftStarted, not sentContinue where you left off
In reviewThe carrier is checking itWait — nothing speeds it up
ApprovedAcceptedBuy numbers of that type in that country; the bundle is reused
RejectedSomething did not satisfy the carrierOpen View — the reason stands under the document that caused it

Deleting a bundle removes it from your list and, unless it is in review, at the carrier too. A bundle in review cannot be withdrawn; it disappears from your list while the review runs its course.
