Phone numbers

Manage your numbers

Give each number the agent that answers and the agent that calls out, move it between workspaces, release it.

Every number has an agent that answers it and, if it can call out, an agent that calls from it. You set them on the Phone Numbers page or right on the agent.

Give a number its agents

  1. Open the number

Go to Phone Numbers and click the number.

  2. Choose the agents

Inbound Agent answers incoming calls. Outbound Agent is used when calls go out from this number — campaigns, callbacks, triggers.

From the agent's side: open the agent and use Manage (or Assign Number when it has none) in its header. The agent card in the list shows Not assigned when the agent has no number.

One agent can answer several numbers, and different numbers can go to different agents — one for sales, one for support, one for bookings.

Move a number to another workspace

  1. Click the arrow on the number's row

On Phone Numbers, click the arrow icon (Move to another workspace).

  2. Pick the destination

Choose the workspace — or Home to move it out of all workspaces — and confirm.

If the number's agent stays behind in the old workspace, the assignment is removed: assign an agent on the new side. Moving the agent first is simpler — its numbers travel with it.

Renewal

A bought number renews every 30 days at the price fixed when you bought it, from your balance. The Renewal column shows the date and price. With an empty balance and Auto Top-Up off, you get an email 2 days before. If the charge fails, the number is released and cannot be recovered — keep Auto Top-Up on for numbers you depend on. Numbers on your own carrier have no renewal: you pay your carrier.

Release a number

Open the number and delete it. A released number may go to someone else and cannot be brought back.
