API keys

Create a key for your own software and send it with every request to the HANC API.

An API key lets your own software use the HANC API: list calls, create agents, buy numbers, read your CRM. A key acts with your access — what you can do in the dashboard, it can do through the API.

Create a key​

  1. Open the keys

    Integrations → the Developers tab → Workspace API keys.

  2. Create one

    Click Create an API token. The key appears in the list; the show button reveals it, copy it from there.

  • Up to 3 keys per workspace.
  • Keys have no name and no separate permissions: a key has your access in every workspace you belong to.
  • A key can be revealed again from the list — treat the list as sensitive.

Use it​

Send the key in the x-api-key header, without a Bearer prefix:

Keep it safe​

  • Keep keys on your server — never in a browser, a mobile app or anything a user can open.
  • Never commit them to version control.
  • Rotate them now and then; delete a key at once when someone leaves or it may have leaked.
