Marcus, your AI assistant
Marcus is the assistant built into the dashboard. Ask it in plain words about your agents, calls, numbers and settings: it reads your workspace, finds what is wrong, explains how things work and prepares changes for you to apply.
Marcus answers in the language of your interface.
Where to find Marcus
- Home — the first item in the sidebar. Marcus takes the whole page, with your conversation history: rename or delete a conversation from the list.
- Ask Marcus — the field in the bottom-right corner of every other page, the workflow editor included. It opens Marcus in a side panel; Open on Home moves the conversation to the Home page.
Marcus is not shown on a partner's white-label domain.
What Marcus can do
Answer questions about your account
- Your agents: role, language, and whether each is a single prompt or a workflow
- Recent calls with their outcome and summary — including the call you have open
- Phone numbers: which agent answers each, which calls out from it, when it renews
- Campaigns and how many contacts were reached
- Usage: calls, minutes, average length, unsuccessful calls
- Your plan and remaining credit — only the account owner sees amounts
- The workspace and the team
Find problems
- Knowledge bases that cannot work: empty, not indexed, or attached to no agent
- Post-call actions (API requests, emails, SMS) that failed, with what the other side answered
- Workflow problems: unpublished, unreachable steps, dead ends, conditions on variables nothing sets
- Common mistakes in the setup, such as a number without an agent or credit running out
Answer from this help
Marcus searches the documentation and links the page with the details.
Open the right place
Marcus can open a page or a window for you: topping up the balance, plans, buying a number, connecting an integration, inviting a team member, creating an agent or a campaign, or a section of an agent. It cannot pay, sign in to another service or press anything for you: it opens the place and tells you what to do there.
Prepare changes
Marcus prepares a change to an agent as a card, with one row per field. Nothing changes until you click Apply change.
It can change an agent's name, language, voice, greeting and prompt (all of it or one part), speech speed and volume, speech recognition languages, silence and reminder timeouts, attached knowledge bases and on/off settings — and translate a whole agent into another language. These changes are free.
A change to a workflow is made by HANC Studio when you click Change the workflow. The card shows its price, or how many free Studio edits you have left; it needs the Pro plan or higher.
Members who can only view the workspace can ask Marcus, but cannot apply changes.
Check every card before you apply it.
Contact support
When Marcus is not enough, click Contact support. You can attach the conversation and the page you are on; a person from Hanc support reads it, and the reply arrives in Marcus and by email.
Messages and pricing
Every plan includes free messages to Marcus:
| Plan | Free messages | After the free messages |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 10, one time | Marcus stops (Free trial used up) |
| Starter | 10 a day | €0.06 per message |
| Pro | 25 a day | €0.05 per message |
| Business | 100 a day | €0.03 per message |
On Enterprise plans, the terms for Marcus messages are agreed individually.
- On paid plans the free messages reset at midnight UTC. After them, each message is paid from your balance, so the free limit never blocks your work — Marcus stops only when the balance cannot cover a message.
- An answer that fails is not counted and costs nothing.
- The field under the conversation shows how many free messages are left, when they reset and the price after them.
- There is also a limit on messages per minute and a daily limit per person and per workspace. When you reach the daily limit, Marcus tells you and is available again after midnight UTC; Contact support stays available.
Workflow changes made by HANC Studio are charged at the Studio price, separately from messages. See Billing & Subscriptions.
